We have a lot of inquiries regarding setting up your bank account on your Airfunding profile. So, here's a quick step-by-step guide to getting your identity verified:
1. Log in to your Airfunding account.
You may log in via your Google or personal email account. If you have previously registered via mobile number, click the link at the bottom. If you have previously registered via Facebook, you will need to request a temporary password by emailing us at support.airfunding@kiheitai.co.jp.
2. Go to Personal Identification from the slide menu in the upper right corner of the screen.
3. Choose the country of your nationality from the drop-down menu.
4. Input in the text field your Full Name as seen on the valid ID shown on your uploaded photo.
5. If your name is not written in the English alphabet, make sure to write in the next field your Full Name in English letters.
This is only required for those with their original names in another alphabet/language.
6. Click Next.
7. Read the instructions on which photos will be accepted for verification.
8. Take a selfie while holding an official identification document (e.g. passport, driver's license, government-issued ID, etc.) that includes a photo of you and your name on it. (NOTE: Valid ID shown should be registered on the Residence Country set on your Airfunding account.)
Here are tips to make sure your photo submission will be approved.
9. Click the Select Picture button to upload this photo.
10. Verify if the photo you have submitted is correct based on the guidelines provided. If yes, click Save. Otherwise, click Select Again to submit a new photo.
11. Click Save and Proceed.
12. Read the instructions on which photos will be accepted for verification of your Identification Document.
13. Click the Select Picture button to upload this photo.
14. Verify if the photo you have submitted is correct based on the guidelines provided. If yes, click Save. Otherwise, click Select Again to submit a new photo.
15. Click Save and Proceed.
16. For faster processing of your funds, we recommend you provide us with contact information for direct communication with you. In Contact Information, select from the dropdown menu your Residence Country and input your mobile number.
17. If you are using WhatsApp for the same mobile number you provided, check the box beside I am using WhatsApp.
18. Click Save and Next.

20. Create a cryptocurrency wallet address from a platform of your choice. Your project can receive support from different payment methods, such as a credit card, local payment methods, and cryptocurrency.
- Funds collected with cryptocurrency will be delivered in Tether (USDT) ERC20 tokens to your wallet on the Polygon network in real time once your identity is verified.
- Funds collected by other payment methods will be converted to Bitcoin and delivered to your Bitcoin wallet after your project is finished.
Hence, we require you to provide Bitcoin and/or Polygon wallets depending on the Residence Country set on your account. Find out what's available for your country here.
21. Input your Email address then click Send verification mail.
22. Check your Inbox, Spam, or Junk folders for an email from Airfunding to verify.
23. Input your Bitcoin wallet and Polygon wallet address.
Important information about Polygon wallet address
When your project receives support in cryptocurrency, you will receive Tether (USDT) ERC20 tokens in your wallet on the Polygon network.
To receive your funds correctly please make sure of the following:
- If you use your own Web3 wallet, please check that it supports ERC20 assets on the Polygon network. Most popular wallets, such as MetaMask and Trust Wallet, are compatible.
- If you choose to input the deposit address of your account on a cryptocurrency exchange, please verify that it supports ERC20 deposits on the Polygon network.
BEP20, TRC20, and Ethereum ERC20 transfers are not supported.
If you are not sure if your wallet is compatible or not, please feel free to send a screenshot of your wallet app to our customer support and we will assist you personally.
Please be advised that if you provide an incompatible address, funds received by your project may become inaccessible, and Airfunding won't be able to assist you.
24. Click Save.
Identity verification takes ONE (1) business day (excluding weekends and holidays). This step is a requirement for your project to be upgraded to the Worldwide Stage and get your funds processed for transfer.
